Restoration of the Banca d'Italia Library

The project involves the restoration and enhancement of the Library of the Bank of Italy located in Via Nazionale 91. The aim of the intervention was to respect the entire building, enhancing its characteristic aspects, the aim being the transmission of the historical programme to posterity.

The criteria that have been followed during the intervention are the minimum intervention, the distinguishability of the additions and the reversibility, fundamental in a restoration intervention. For the choice of materials, reference was made to the existing ones choosing for the new ones with the maximum compatibility, also the main criterion in the restoration.
